A full stack software engineer and designer by trade, Aaron has built a range of compelling web and mobile solutions for both small startups and large corporations across the globe, including the likes of Google, Red Bull and Unilever.

Dan is a Deloitte-trained, fully qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in the finance software space. It was during his tenure managing a finance system in the UK that he grew dissatisfied with the lack of synergy and automation in the space, compelling him to co-found Ember.

After spending some time travelling around Europe, Asia and North America, Matt entered the FinTech scene shortly after settling down in London in 2018. He has since worked on launching a digital SME bank and led a team within a digital marketing agency, with a core focus on FinTech clients.

With a knack for problem solving and an eye for design, Design Lead Lynden is on a mission to remove unnecessary complexities from the Ember app. Based in Leeds, when not in his home office Lynden can be found on a hike with his family, undertaking a fitness challenge or relaxing with a good book.

As a Product Designer at Ember, Nika evaluates user requirements and makes sure the design of the product is up to standard.

Since moving to London in 2019, Nika has been busy working on a wide range of products, from media apps to innovative tech. When not devising new designs, she can be found scaling mountains or winning Mario Kart.

A data whizz through and through, Zack devotes his time delving into data, making sure that all the decisions we make as a team are the right ones. When not buried in a database, Zack can be found fixing up his 1920s-era house, or sampling new spirits and liqueurs for his cocktail creations.

With over 5 years of experience helping companies improve their quality assurance processes, Milena joins the Ember team as a QA Engineer. When not setting up the processes that ensure Ember users get the best app experience possible, she can be found travelling, extreme sledging, or hanging out with her fluffy, immortal cat.

After stints in the music industry and FMCG, Malinna is now taking on technical scoping and delivery as Tech Lead at Ember. When not working towards making life a little easier for business owners, Malinna can be found on nature walks with her family, visiting restaurants or finding the next great TV series to get addicted to.

Undeniably a coding powerhouse, Sergejs joined the Ember team as Tech Lead in September 2021. Based in the heart of Edinburgh, when not in front of a screen you can find Sergejs hiking Arthur’s Seat or practicing yoga.

Dedicated to driving improvements across the platform, Rhys joins the Ember team on a mission to improve customer experience through designing and delivering third-party integrations. When not buried in a code base, Rhys spends most of his time outdoors swimming, skiing and running, even completing a 50 mile ultramarathon back in 2019.

An entrepreneur turned engineer, David joined Ember having experienced the frustration felt by business owners forced to focus on compliance instead of running their business. When not developing software infrastructure, David can be found playing the electric guitar, exploring cryptocurrency or writing poetry.

Equipped with a Master’s in Computer Science and a wealth of coding experience, Pratik joins the Ember team as an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer. When not exploring the latest technologies in the industry, Pratik can be found listening to music, trying new foods and seeking out new ways to grow as a professional.

Ben is a self-taught web developer on a mission to make an impact in the tech world. With a keen eye for growth potential and outstanding coding capabilities, Ben has helped to build the e-sports brand Synergy and more recently his own media platform Featurefield.

After taking a leap of faith and studying Software Engineering at Lancaster University, Olaf quickly found himself hooked on automation, programming and problem solving. Fast-forward to 2022, Olaf joined the team as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, spending his time solving complex problems with code and creativity. Outside of the office, you can find Olaf absorbed in anything car-related, or out on a mountain hike with friends.

Drawn to Ember for its clear vision and super software, Steven joined the CX team in August 2021. Boasting over 6 years of accounting experience, Steven brings a wealth of accounting knowledge to the team, and is the person to talk to if you ever need any advanced accounting questions answered.

An ACCA qualified accountant with a 1st class Maths degree from the University of Sussex, Sarah was drawn to Ember for its sleek software and growth ambitions, and spends her day helping business owners with the stuff they don’t like. When not connecting with clients, you can find her exploring dog-friendly places with her (incredibly cute) pup.

Drawn to Ember for its ‘future-ready’ approach to accounting, David joins the Ember team as a part-qualified ACCA accountant after graduating from the University of West Scotland with a 1st in Accounting. When not preparing accounts and filing tax returns, you can find David at a bowling alley, or learning a bit about property investment.

Drawn to Ember for its forward-thinking approach to providing practical solutions to common accounting problems, Elise joins the CX team as a Semi-Senior Accountant. Outside of the office, Elise spends her time baking, scoping out new restaurants and exploring the city.

Graduating from the University of Brighton in 2021 with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Erin joins the CX team as a Semi-Senior Accountant. Outside of reviewing accounts and offering excellent accounting advice to clients, Erin is an avid swing-dancer and leads dance classes in her spare time.

Having recently graduated from the University of Sussex with a degree in Economics, Martin joins the Ember team as a Junior Accountant. Between submitting Self Assessments and incorporating limited companies, Martin runs his own online store and maintains a (very impressive!) sneaker collection.

A customer satisfaction guru, Steve joins the Ember team as a Customer Success Agent, helping business owners get their business up and running through incorporation and tax registration. After a 9-year stint in self-employment, Steve set his sights on accounting and, while studying for his AAT, was drawn to Ember for its innovative approach to Making Tax Digital.

As Customer Success Agent, Sophie is all about helping people out. Drawn to Ember for its futuristic vision to tax and accounting, Sophie spends her time solving problems for business owners, from answering questions about tax to offering assistance with the app. Outside of work, you can find her reading, gaming or watching true crime documentaries.
